Microblog Mondays – do you want to play with me?

SI was having coffee at the beach yesterday with a friend and his seven year old daughter when another little girl comes over to our table and asks her: do you want to play with me?

And so they played together for the rest of the time we stayed there.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could do the same, as adults?

  1. I love that on two levels. One is the fact that we all crave those types of spontanous connections and not feeling alone. The other is the fact that — as adults — we don’t treat each other very well. Thank you for capturing this with words.

  2. Yes, what Mel said. I recently spent time with my niece who lives in a different town. At the playground, she made a friend. Just like that! I’d love to be able to say to some people, “will you play with me?”
