Microblog Mondays- Trip on a historical train

Went to Porto this weekend with a friend to ride the historical train, and what  a great experience it was! And not only for the beauty of the landscape. Just riding in these old carriages, (even the toilets are historical) and seeing the drivers filling the steam engine at one of the stops…

Even the folklorical group that was doing the entertainment was good. We had already taken the boat cruise on the Douro river and had hated the musicthat was constantly playing so I was a little worried, but it turned out to be for no reason. Some of the others even got up to dance with the group.

A friend had told me not to open the windows because I would get full of soot but the weather was hit and it was impossible to resist. I did not even notice the soot. Amazingly I have some nice shots despite the train trepidation.
