Those were the words of the teacher who is directing the graphic diary workshop.
And I have actually started to draw again almost everyday. That is already a win.
I am enjoying it immensely. We are watching a bit of Wim Wender’s movie Lisbon Story at each session and that serves as a creative prompt for our drawings. Since the main character makes sound effects for the movies, today we were supposed to draw also the sounds. Or to be more precise, write the sounds we were hearing and integrate the letter inside the drawing. And the size of the lettering should be proporcional to the intensity of the sound.
It was a bit awkward today because there were a lot of tourists around us and sometimes looking over my shoulder. Fortunately, the drawing demanded so much concentration I stopped noticing.
That’s my kind of medication.
